Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the HormoneLog mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”), operated by Baker Ventures LLC (“we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Not medical advice

HormoneLog is a symptom-tracking and logging tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose any condition, recommend or calculate any medication dose, or otherwise provide medical advice. The symptom index scores shown in the app are calculated directly from what you log. They are a plain summary of your own entries, meant to help you describe changes over time in your own words. They are not a screening test and not a diagnosis. Every HRT dose, form, and schedule value shown anywhere in the app is exactly what you typed in — the app never suggests, validates, or changes a dose. Always talk to a qualified prescriber before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment.

If you think you may be experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. Do not rely on HormoneLog in an emergency.

2. Who can use HormoneLog

You must be at least 12 years old to use HormoneLog, consistent with its App Store age rating. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account and your data

HormoneLog does not require an account to use. Your logs are stored locally on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, since local data is only as protected as your device is.

4. Subscriptions

Premium features (the clinician PDF report, and the symptom-vs-HRT correlation and before/after-starting-treatment comparison views in Insights) require a paid subscription, billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not in the app. Free trial terms, where offered, are shown before you start a trial. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their own policies — we do not process payments or issue refunds directly.

The HormoneLog name, logo, app, and website content are owned by Baker Ventures LLC or its licensors. The HormoneLog symptom index, and the wording of its questions, are our own work.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baker Ventures LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence apply.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the “last updated” date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
